I was born in Ōtautahi and have also lived and worked in Wellington and London. I enjoy working with adults, youth, children and families, and I also offer supervision. I work with a range of difficulties, including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, self confidence, stress, Autism Sprectrum disorder, trauma, abuse, grief, loss, relationship difficulties, non compliance and parenting problems.
I am committed to providing a safe, compassionate and professional therapeutic relationship, so that together we can understand and alleviate difficult feelings, behaviours or thoughts. I follow guidelines for best practice in the treatment of difficulties and disorders (or discuss why we are diverging). I have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (for trauma and anxiety), parenting skills training and family therapy. When working with children, parenting responses are often an initial focus of treatment. In supervision we reflect on work with clients to refine your effectiveness as a practitioner and promote your wellbeing.
